I have been working on diversifying my photography practice. Recently, I have been asking (mostly) strangers to do a series of four candid shots. This is Mitch from Maine. I asked him to not look at the camera, be himself and talk about his dog Bunny. The dog is a small Cavalier Spaniel. Tiny thing. Mitch got him 5 years ago. He is explaining here how he got the pup. The idea behind this series is creating / curating a visual aid that is true (documentary) but also serves as malleable (fictional) material for poetry / short story writing. Because while portraits are true, they are also characters we see / make up.
